my work
so i take pride in my work, so what? i just thought you guys might be interested in learning a little more about what i do. these are the two companies a work for.
abladeofgrass.com and arborwaytreecare.com
for a blade of grass i do a lot of that frilly stuff. pruning roses, picking flowers, that sort of thing. but i also do get to do some of the cool stuff like build stone walls and stuff. and i just got word that they might be giving me a new roll in the spring. something like head of a lawn crew or irrigation crew. it's all being discussed right now so i don't want to get ahead of myself.
for the tree care company i work as a climber. ooh, exciting. if you don't know what it is check this out
http://www.gandt.uk.com/twt.html or tcia.org. basically, i climb trees to work on them. get them away from power lines, cut them down, prune them back, that sort of thing.

officially nocturnal
so since new years i've been trying to get back on a proper sleeping schedule. but night after night i just lay there bug eyed longer and longer. well, yesterday i woke up at five o'clock and ended up staying up until nine o'clock the following morning. i just don't know what to do. even when i try to go to sleep i can't. should i just start popping sleeping pills?

The biggest bass i've been able to catch since moving out here more than a year ago.
A Few New Links
so if i'm ever online and i'm not here it's pretty much a sure thing that i'm on the Texas Fishing Forum. if you don't know yet, fishing is my favorite activity of all time. the forum is also a place where i have learned more about fishing than any other subject in my life. well, my name there is timmytooth and i just thought that adding that link would be another way you guys could learn a little more about who i am.
Warning Labels
just so you know, i'm studying for my pesticide license. okay, so i just got the material the other day. but i did already learn something really cool. you know those warning labels. the ones that say danger: poison and then they have a skull and crossbones. apparently they actually are incredibly dangerous. there is this measurement that is called LD50 or Lethal Dose 50. it is called that because in the testing stage of a chemical it is the amount of the chemical exposed through the mouth or skin that killed 50% of the test animals. well the point of me telling you this is that apparently in order for a product to have that danger: poison label it would require a LD50 of 0 to 50 mg/kg. that's like drinking a tablespoon of the stuff; or spilling a few drops of it on your skin and not washing it off. the crazy thing is that even though in our minds its hard to conceive that such a small amount can do something to you it will actually KILL you. okay, so maybe you might not care so much about that, but i sure did. i use to play around chemicals as a kid and always thought my mom was just making it all up. who knew. i guess i'll be paying attention to those labels from now on.
okay i finally got one
yes, all of you out there finally made me get my own blog. but the sad thing is that the only thing that stopped me is that i had no idea what to write about. well, it's simple. just the stuff that i talk about ALL the time. fishing! government! work! and there's a world of stuff out there. but anyway. hi!
